## 📦 **Installation Instructions**

### **Step 1: Download**
Download `TextRad-Dictation-Extension-v1.1.2-beta.zip` from the TextRad website

### **Step 2: Extract**
Extract the zip file to a folder on your computer

### **Step 3: Install in Chrome**
1. Open Chrome browser
2. Navigate to: `chrome://extensions/`
3. Enable **"Developer mode"** (toggle in top-right corner)
4. Click **"Load unpacked"**
5. Select the extracted `textrad-extension` folder
6. Extension will appear in your extensions list

### **Step 4: Verify Installation**
1. Visit any supported domain (e.g., `textrad.in`)
2. Click the TextRad extension icon in Chrome toolbar
3. Test recording functionality

## 🔧 **Usage**

### **Basic Recording**
1. Click extension icon → Start recording
2. Speak your dictation
3. Auto-transcription appears in popup
4. Click "Send to TextRad" or "Copy"

### **Report Generation**
1. After transcription, click "Send to TextRad"
2. Select format from dropdown
3. Click "Generate Report"
4. Copy generated report (auto-resets for next dictation)

### **Smart Copy Features**
- **Regular transcription copy**: Just copies text
- **Report copy**: Copies + automatically resets for new dictation
- **Enhanced feedback**: Contextual success messages

## ⚠️ **Beta Version Notes**

- This is a **beta testing version** before Chrome Store submission
- All core functionality is stable and tested
- Report any issues or feedback to your TextRad administrator
- Production version will be available on Chrome Web Store soon

## 🔄 **Updating**

When a new version is available:
1. Download new zip file
2. Extract to same location (overwrite)
3. Go to `chrome://extensions/`
4. Click **"Reload"** button for TextRad Dictation extension

## 🆘 **Troubleshooting**

### **Extension not working?**
- Ensure you're on a supported domain
- Check if extension is enabled in `chrome://extensions/`
- Try reloading the extension

### **Recording issues?**
- Grant microphone permissions when prompted
- Check browser microphone settings
- Ensure stable internet connection

### **500 errors?**
- New retry logic should prevent these
- If persisting, wait 30 seconds and try again
- Check console for detailed error logs
